one of the staples of my daily morning routine is reading the macrumors site. yesterday, i was excited to learn of the probable introduction of the 12" mac book pro in february. i've been waiting for apple to introduce this laptop since its 15" and 17" counterparts were announced - roughly 9 months ago. since then, i've been anxiously reading up on rumors and news of its imminent arrival. to say the least, i am very excited! i've been refusing to buy a mac until they came out with this model, and now my prayers have been answered! the new computer is likely to be announced at macworld in january, along with the introduction of a true video ipod, the iphone, and other fun goodies :)

i've been in austin since friday, visiting the boy & company. after dropping by ASR formal and afterparty, we went down to 6th for an hour. one well-mixed long island and a shot later, i was gone :) it was great seeing so many old faces, meeting new ones, and spending the weekend catching up with people that i haven't seen in forever. last night, tye and i went to the melting pot for one of his co-worker's birthdays, and i met a girl that i went to high school with. i haven't seen so many people since before school started, which just confirms my suspicion that as much as i slack off, too much of my life is still wrapped around school. i'm just glad that the dream i had last night of failing accounting was not realized :)
