after body worlds, i met up a few high school friends to watch a show at a comedy club. i'm not usually an obliging audience member during acts of choreographed humor, but the comedians were pretty funny this time. we took pictures with todd glass and bobby miyamoto. observe:
after the comedy club, we headed over to martini park, a new bar/lounge at the shops at legacy. it was packed, with lots of older people. this one random asian dude, who apparently came alone, decided to talk us up. except he had no game. instead of offering to buy us drinks, he said, "wow! drinks here are so expensive!" uhh, yeah. needless to say, we cockblocked.
sunday: new year's eve. i woke up late, went to the mall for 20 minutes, and came out with an outfit. go me! then i met stephanie up at dunn bros. coffee and we studied. i dunno how much we actually got done, but at least we made the effort. and, i learned a new word: ignominious. anyway, afterwards, i went to stonebriar. i saw phuong at sephora, and she helped me test out eyeshadow. i'm really picky with cosmetics, so i didn't end up purchasing any. after getting ready for the night's festivities, i met up with julia, katherine, and stephanie at chow thai, a thai restaurant that asked us to pay $20 to open our own bottle of wine. we said no thanks, and asked for styrofoam cups instead. we headed over to club reflection after dinner and pre-drank in the car! haha, it was like college. except we'd graduated from really cheap hard liquor to wine. anyway, it was fun times at the club.... two shots and a crown and coke and no yakking :) thanks go out to oliver for hooking us up with 2 free tickets. ihop after clubbing completed our night, along with tidings for a happy 2007.
