weekend

i'm so mad that i forgot my camera this weekend! i have no photographic reminders of the last weekend before the summer of hell :( thus, a written account of the events that transpired... in case sometime in the next several months, i forget that once upon a time, i DID have a social life....

friday: i went shopping all morning, and then a couple of classmates and i went to taste addison, a giant food fest in my favorite neighboring city. one of the people in our little group invited a guest, who turned out to be my very, very distant cousin. we share the same ancestor dating back hundreds of years. it was weird... small world. anyway, we ate lots of good food, from steakhouse fare to grape leaves to fondue. yum!

saturday: i watched "heroes" all morning before meeting tye up. we bummed around for awhile before going to phi's bday dinner at mattitos. uptown is nice; if i could afford it, i wouldn't mind living in the west village area after getting a job. after dinner, we went shopping at northpark mall, watched the spurs game, and then met up the bday boy & co. at obar. obar is okay; i give it a B+. it would have been an A, except it was crowded and i was sober. i'm beginning to dislike always being the DD.

sunday: woke up, had brunch at bread winners - which happened to be one of the best dining experiences i've had in awhile - and then tye and i went to the galleria. we went window shopping, people-watched at starbucks for awhile, then headed over to b&n to read some mags. afterwards, we watched "georgia rule." it was a pretty good movie. as messed up as she is, lindsay lohan is actually a pretty decent actress. starving, we concluded the weekend with dinner at asian mint.
