as far as birthdays go, mine went pretty well. it's the first time in awhile i've chosen to celebrate instead of pretending it didn't exist. i spent the actual day of my birthday chillin with family.... i got a facial during the afternoon which turned out to be not so bueno (hello, pain and scarring) and then the 'rents took me out for dinner. afterwards, some friends and i bummed around and watched a movie and the season finale of age of love! mark philippoussis - SO HOT.
the next day, i got my eyebrows threaded and then we headed off to oklahoma to gamble. it was fun, even though our definition of gambling is apparently chatting for two hours, while waiting for dmok to finish his poker game. all in good company, though :) we sped home to make it to my birthday dinner downtown, which was attended by a few of my favorite people. thanks for the presents, btw! i loves them :) then we hit up the poorly air-conditioned petrus lounge, which had a nice rooftop bar area. i remember sweating. a LOT. ihop followed, along with a tour of SS's new apartment. and that is how i brought in the big 2-5.
