on life (after graduation).... by graduation, i mean the one i am facing at the end of summer. who knows where life will take me - will i stay in dallas? or can i somehow network my way into a job outside the big d? i am secretly praying for the latter, but at the same time, i am loathe to start over. will i even be employed? i am apparently really good at putting things off....
on work, aka internship.... my first time being on a payroll not belonging to my parents. i admit, i was terrified on my first day. slowly, though, i've become accustomed to it. i can't say that i love what i do, but i don't mind it, either. i felt i needed this experience to build character - to prepare myself for the consequences of inevitable screw ups, to see what it's like to be at the bottom of the ladder, and to have responsibilities. i am relieved to see that my tolerance for work (as well as work ethic) is much higher than my tolerance for school.
on vegas.... sin city is aight. i give this most recent trip a 7/10. good food, good company. on the downside, gambling really is not my bag, and getting fat = sucks. in-n-out is entirely overrated, but the bellagio and wynn buffets are damn good. i will have to make another trip to vegas in the future, when i am not in school and stressing over exams that need to be made up upon my return.
on parents.... as the years pass, i realize more and more that in their eyes, whatever i do will never be good enough. i could save an african village, and they would ask, why not one in china? i could be a millionaire, and they would question my moral character and how i got there. after spending most of my life trying to walk the path they laid out for me, i realized that there really is no point in trying to make my parents happy.... instead, i should focus on what makes me happy.

in-n-out is NOT overrated. =( i have to get (at least one) every time i'm in california.
and yes, the buffet at the bellagio is the greatest.
