if i worked EVERY day, i would be much thinner

work is draining. not because anything i do requires massive amounts of brain power, but rather, the opposite. i spend my entire day in front of the computer, calculating a few things here and there, but mostly doing data entry. it is not to say that i have learned nothing - i have become acquainted with the most popular tax forms - but rote transcription of endless lists of numbers leaves a lot of time for a person to think. in my case, this is a bad thing. my mind is then left to explore the crevices of my head, often eliciting dark thoughts and foul indignations. it is apparent that i have not been in the best of moods these past couple of months, and the opportunity to fixate on the reasons for this petulance only serves to exacerbate it.

i am not one to make pointed denunciations online. so, to generalize, i will say that i am unhappy with certain situations right now. certain seeds of doubt have been planted that i am finding hard to uproot. i am accepting of most situations, but how much should i allow myself to overlook?

for the next several weeks, i will be focusing on the job hunt. i see this as a much more productive way to bide my time. and in regards to what's been giving me headaches - what happens, will happen.... that's life.

that's funny, because my thought has always been, "...if i did NOT work EVERY day, i would be much fatter."
