bleh

12 hours.

that's how long i studied investment management on tuesday. sadly, i still failed my midterm the next day. i simply could not focus on the numerous equations and excel problems required to understand the subject.

i'm a bit perturbed. i think it's odd that certain chapters chose to reopen themselves during a point when they should have been sealed and locked. perhaps it was simply my pensive nature - the tendency to reflect and replay certain situations - that was drawn out during this suffocating silence, not the possibility of a false sense of closure.

i love october for its many seasonal benefits. it is in between summer and winter - perfect for both sweat-free and jacketless days; the weather is ideal with its cool breezes and warm sunshine. one day i will bring my dog to the park and we will take a long walk around the lake. i also love october for the fun activities i associate with it - oktoberfest (even though it was in september this year), halloween, haunted houses, candy.... if i lived in a more rustic area, i would want to spend a morning picking apples and drinking apple cider. october reminds me of when i lived in upstate new york.

this weekend i am going to a MB event to test drive the new C-class. though i won't be in the market for a new car any time soon, it is in the price range i'll be considering in the next few years. maybe i'll come back this saturday with some cool MB stuff :)

it sucks when the only person you want attention from is the only one who won't give it to you. while i am sure of my feelings, i am too stubborn and afraid to do anything at present; taking initiative in this area has never been a strength of mine.

currently craving: eggrolls from bistro b. stephanie? :D
