graduation

i am officially an MBA! my program had a graduation reception on thursday in honor of the cohort class of 2007. we nibbled on hors d'oeuvres, consumed copious amounts of wine, and posed for pictures. for many of us, it was the last time seeing the same faces we'd become accustomed to seeing every day for the past 16 months. as much as i detest school, i have to admit i was a little bit sad to say goodbye. on to bigger and better things though, as they say (or for me, an MS in accounting... barf).

graduation itself was uneventful, and i am glad that only an hour and a half of my day was spent listening to speeches and the perfunctory roll call of masters candidates. our celebratory dinner at bob's steakhouse was good, though i was sad to find that the remnants of my 9 oz. filet mignon and skillet potatoes were nowhere to be found the day after. i really hope my parents did not feed my dog my much anticipated leftovers.
