unscholarly thoughts

after saturday night's debauchery, i went home to find the most "hmm"-worthy message i've received in awhile. i guess in any other context, i'd be flattered... but this time i was just left wondering what the hell this person wanted to accomplish by telling me something like that.

christmas shopping kinda sucks. while i normally love partaking in retail therapy, doing other peoples' shopping is not quite as enjoyable. what do you get for your parents' colleagues?!

currently loving:

at 330 calories and 9 g of fat, it's my favorite pseudo-asian food in the frozen food aisle. also, i think i'm beginning to crave bistro b eggrolls again.... definitely not diet friendly.

i'm already dreading running after a week-long break :( who knew a month's progress could be destroyed by 5 days of sitting on my ass? damn you, finals - you ruined everything!

being asked out is not only a boost to the ego, it is also a reminder of how passive i can be in regards to the opposite sex. even when i have to politely decline, i'm always impressed by people who have the guts to put themselves out there; i know i couldn't do it.

after growing out of the hello kitty and cute stationery stage, i've found it difficult to take advantage of asia's numerous shopping outlets. this time, i'm thinking hard and making a list. so far, i have: an R4 card, sofina sunblock (that i usually order online), BB cream (all the rage in asia, apparently), and asian brand makeup. apparently i've progressed from gel pens to gel eyeliner.

i bought these shoes yesterday:

there is no good reason for why they ended up in my hands, except that they were $7.48. while i usually detest designer inspired (and knock-off) fashions... at that price, i couldn't resist! i don't even LIKE shoes. ahh well, i will probably take them out for their maiden stroll and then let them sit on my shoe rack, along with the 20 other pairs of shoes i've only worn once. thank goodness my expensive taste is reserved only for handbags :P
